"There, but for the grace of God, go I"
John Bradford (?1510-1555), English Protestant martyr.
Chaplain to King Edward 6, popular preacher, burned as a heretic by Queen Mary (Catholic)
One of my favorite sayings, reflecting some of the trust Christian sentiments. I came to really like this saying whilst reading the old science fiction series, the Dumarest Saga. It reflects senitments of "big universe, small people", something that all Satanists do good to remember, that the Universe *can* crush us, that complacency is a sin of stupidity.
"Do unto others as you would have them do unto you" Attributed to Jesus Christ
