The Antitheism Guide

Description, Justification, Philosophies Satanism index page

This page is a going to be a step by step resources guide for those agnostics of Christianity, or for the disbelievers of Christianity, to prove that they are correct in their stance. The links on this page are very in depth - in general this page is to show other people, or to aid an in depth study into the early history of Christianity.

The point of this page is to allow research of the facts that can be used to refute Christianity in particular, and monotheism in general, by providing links to other sites.

"Satanism is not just an atheistic stance but a anti-theistic stance. We prefer destruction of mystically-oriented religions through active opposition rather than simple non-participation."

"Secret life of a Satanist" by Blanche Barton p217

Attacking the Theist

If you are on the defensive in an argument with a monotheist then go and find whatever topic they are talking about on the links on this page and cut-and-paste your reply.

On the offensive
This order should be observed. Though you might find it better not to, if in doubt, do it by the numbers. The rest of the page points to resources that you should use in your arguments. If your opponent is intelligent, and the emails are long, then you should progress through each phase in about two weeks. (Stupid opponents will cease being logical and resort to insulting, avoid questions, etc). Except for "Cleaning Up", because if you do it right you can win the war and make a friend for years at the same time.

  1. Form Criticism
First, attack his theology. Start with the Bible, with the Gospels, point out all the mistakes and the reasons for his religion being the way it is: Due to Human politics and error.
  2. Comparative Religion
Nothing annoys Christians more than to ignore them. Simply include Christianity along with all other minor movements, and don't respond to their rubbish. Show them Mithraism, the principle religion from which Christianity, via Paul, evolved from.
  3. Logic
Continue with wider, theological and philosophical arguments (free will, morals, God/Satan, Evolution).
  4. Truth
Make the theist know that he cannot possibly be sure that his religions contains any truth. All the ritual, knowledge, catch phrases are all based on historical, all too Human, evolutionary myth.
    • Stages three and four can often inflate into very long, twisted and philosophical arguments, in which you must try to keep things moving but not without showing hir that you know what you're talking about.
  5. Morals
At some point the theist will start claiming that nonetheless, hir religion supports good morals. The more you point out how his religion is not logical in the above stages, the more he will move on to moral concerns - he will say his religion upholds morals because he will assume that it's true, as do some naive atheists. Show him that historically, logically and even in the modern world, the opposite is true.
  6. Clean Up
Don't leave the theist in a vacuum. Make him feel good about himself, make him feel rewarded for conceding ground and thinking about these things. Don't allow him to simply fall into some liberal version of his previous religion. Clean him up, don't let him feel insecure just because you were right and he was wrong.

Doublethinkers
If your opponent is a fundamentalist who has already been pressurized by freethinkers then the chances are you can defeat them on all the points above, and they still wont change their position. Some very clever people are just as capable of doublethink that makes them like this. This is called "being fucked in the head". If you do thing with care, with a humane tone of voice and polite verse then you can make them concede a little, but the war against fundamentalists is best not done with logical arguments. I don't know what will work. Very Complex, hard psychology or plain death may well be the only ways to end the fundamentalists doublethinking brainlock.

The Old Testament - The Books of Moses - The Torah - The Pentateuch - Judaism

These books predate Christianity and are the cornerstone of older Judaistic religions from which Christianity takes most of its essence. Unfortunately they contain the most unrealistic and impossible scripts ever to be considered real. This link is highly informative: The prehistory of monotheism and Moses' beliefs. There is plenty of information available on many of the absurdities of the Old Testament. Go find it: Links.html.

There is information on Moses' flood - which is likely to be the flood that created the huge dead sea from the Mediterranean which also features in other cultures myths. I haven't found good unbiased documentation on this yet.

See my text on The Old Testament.

The strong point of dissing Moses is that it attacks Christianity and Judaism, plus all the offshoots.

7 Day Creation
What a silly idea that is! It doesn't even serve particularly well as a metaphor for anything: The 7 Day Creation.

Adam and Eve, Noah and Wife
Incest and genetic impossibility. Adam, Eve, Noah and Breeding.

The New Testament - The Injil - The Fables of Common Christianity

The gospels were written by eye witnesses:
This can be only said by people who have never researched the Bible. For a quick breakdown of each of the four gospels try: The False Gospels, part of my pages on religion.
The four gospels are based on the teachings of Paul, of whom we have no surviving texts. My text on Paul shows many of his errors and explains stuff about him.

Jesus was real?
This page explains using large amounts of historical data the origins of some of the most important Christian elements of the New Testament. The Historical Basis of the Jesus legend (select "open from current location" to view the file).
Jesus almost definitely did not exist in any way that resembles the information we have. The page on Paul describes the likely proceedings that produced the mythical character, Jesus.

The virgin birth
The Virgin Birth, The Christmas story - The three wise men, the virgin birth, the prophecy of the virgin birth, the Roman Census forcing Mary to go to Bethlehem, King Herod's killing of all babies. Comments on how we know these didn't happen.

Jesus was the Messiah
Actually, he probably wasn't. See my text on Paul and The prophecy of the Messiah.

Paul, Mithraism, Myths - where did Christianity come from? When did it split from Judaism?

We are all equal under God
No we're not.

The Bible is infallible
If someone says this then they're probably a fundamentalists. In which case you'd better start practicing that old lesser Magic, because logic isn't going to touch them. Fundies are severely stupid, or blind to logic, or both. 'God breathed' scripture.

The Free Will argument

Christian Morals - showing that very statement to be an oxymoron.

Current Arguments against Theism

Although it is easy to see the fake past of Christianity, this does necessarily mean we should oppose it now. Or does it? I say the following pages will make you agree, as long as you read around:

The Truth
We can show how the Christian mythology is fake, bastardized and exaggerated versions of previous fables, and this alone should be enough to convince us that the Church's of the world are mostly founded on misinformation. In the name of clarity, purity and common sense we should end the lies.

Religions uphold morals
The UK is atheist - the few religious people generally keep their heads down. The UK, and other European countries, Russia, China make up a large portion of the population of the Earth. China alone makes 13%. All these countries are atheist, for the most part. Atheists are have no lack of morals.

China
China, yell the theists, is immoral because they are all atheist. If that argument holds up, then surely we can say that all Christians are immoral because of what they did during the Dark Ages? The inquisitions, crusades, witch hunts, etc! China is different, but not more immoral than the West. Through history, China has had a cleaner record up until Communism in Health, Human Rights, Peace, Education, Science, Medical Knowledge and Social systems. The Christian Europe was 400 years behind China in all these things.

Theology
People say that The Church is worth keeping and that what is supposed to be the 'body of Christ', the Catholic Church, is still infallible and that all the history above is coincidental and irrelevant. When approached with this you must be prepared to face the theists on theological terms and show him how silly the Bible's teachings are.

Souls: Theory and Scepticism: Even if souls were real, they wouldn't resemble anything similar to that required of most monotheistic religions.

Refuting Monotheism - This page describes the main failures of all theistic religions. There are links on the page to some more detailed essays for some of the subjects that come up. - about Homocentricity, The myth of infallibility and the problems associated with implementing an authoritive text through human beings. It also covers the problems of Human communication and accuracy of religious institutions.

The essay on Homocentricity considers the problems with basing a religion solely around the Human Race, or making out that the Human Race is anything more than animal in nature.
